The battery supplies the short-term extra power when machines start in parallel. The grid demand peak drops — and with it the demand charge.

During an outage the battery keeps critical systems running; on the OmniCube, switchover takes under 20 milliseconds per the manufacturer's datasheet.

Optimise self-consumption
Commercial halls have large roofs: PV plus storage cuts purchases of expensive grid power — especially during the morning and afternoon peaks.
